History of The Summit Ridge
The Summit Ridge was first assembled in 1998. The site has gone through a bevy of changes and updates over the years. Sometimes the changes were superficial--like changing the colors or graphics--but other times changes were made that visitors never saw. Case in point was the infamous homepage numbering system I concocted in the first interation of the site. I named my pages homepage1, homepage 2, etc. Glenn got a good laugh because of it.
This site is intended to be a portal for sharing my mountain experiences with family, friends, fellow adventurers, and anyone who surfs by. All of the photography is original. Ninty-five percent of the photography is my own. The other five percent is a mix of Glenn Strouhal, primarily, and a few others. Additionally, this site provides a means of communication with friends and family. Some of the information placed on this site is there so that there is a common point of distribution for information. It is my intention to develop this aspect of the site and possibly, in the future, form two distinct sites--one for my adventures and one for family.
It is my hope that all visitors will enjoy at least some aspect of this site. I do not modify or edit in any way my photography. Every photo is just as it was taken--sometimes this is excellent and sometimes this is not so good. Regardless, I stand by my decision to leave each photo unaltered. Enjoy!
